Cost of Coverage

Each crop and county program has its own rate table, and premiums are individually determined for each farm or insurance unit within the farm. USDA subsidizes the premium for Conservation Compliant growers, making coverage more affordable.  Administration fees are charged in addition to premiums, but Veterans and Beginning Farmers are exempt.  Farmers who meet the criteria of USDA’s Limited Resource Grower status may apply for fee waivers.
